Butternut squash Luvmud. Wow! Freakishly fast germination. And the sprouts seem to grow larger before your eyes, eerily looking a bit like aliens.

Luvmud is hand-crafted from soil, worm castings, cow manure, clay, and coconut coir (fiber), embedded with seeds for germination. Herbs, vegetables, grasses, and flowers can sprout from Luvmud in your garden or on your window sill.

Our friend and collaborator Rich is growing wheat grass from his Luvmud on the window sill of his office. Yep – it’s still winter, but Rich’s kitty cats will think it’s spring when he takes this patch of green home for them to chew on.

Co-op president Janet Cox shows off Luvmud presented to her by shareholders at a recent meeting. The Brooklyn co-op is one of the oldest in NYC. Built in 1895, this Clinton Hill landmark boasts beautiful flower boxes every spring. Luvmud reminded neighbors that winter won’t last forever.
